Pasting replaces the contents of every tab. Copying strips whitespace — that is what the game counts.
“Create New” starts a brand new file: track count, instruments and the file name all go back to default; key signature and line-wrap settings are kept. Ctrl+Z undoes it.
Voices in the file that contain notes are listed for you to tick, up to 15 tracks. Importing replaces the contents of every tab, including the aux tracks.
OMR by Audiveris (AGPL-3.0). Up to about 90% accurate — you will still need to fix notes by hand.

If you have a PDF, upload the PDF — it is recognised in one pass, tempo and time signature apply to the whole piece, and you don’t have to pick a resolution. With images, one piece is a stack of images and top-left to bottom-right is the page order; scan at 300 DPI or higher, a phone snapshot is noticeably worse.
